Regular Bedtime May Improve Health
Going to bed and getting up at a regular time each day may be as important to your health as getting eight hours of sleep, according to a recent study.
The study of 1,900 older adults found that those who didn't keep to a regular bedtime and wake time weighed more, had higher blood sugar, higher blood pressure and a higher risk of heart attack or stroke within 10 years.
It is not clear whether obesity interferes with sleep, or if poor sleep disrupts body metabolism, leading to weight gain.
