Weight Training for Weight Loss

Weight loss is never easy, and most of us will gain a pound or two every year we grow older, as we begin to lose muscle mass, and increase body fat. To maintain or lose weight, many of us will cut calories. Adding a weight training routine may be more effective than starting a walking program, according to a new study that adds to growing evidence that weight training is important for vigorous aging.

Even if you don't need to lose weight, if you’re a senior, resistance exercises to strengthen your muscles will help you maintain healthy bone mass and prevent age-related muscle loss and injuries.

See this guide to weight resistance exercises.
